Created for the Gratiot Area Chamber of Commerce while working at Pleasant Graphics, the 2026 Community Guide is an annual publication highlighting the businesses, events and communities of Alma, St. Louis and the surrounding area.
I originally rebuilt the guide’s editorial structure and visual system for the previous year’s edition, then refined and expanded that foundation for 2026. The flexible system allowed new stories, photography, community data, advertisements and event information to feel cohesive while giving each section its own recognizable identity.
My role included cover design, editorial layout, typography, information hierarchy, infographics, calendars, directories and print preparation. Dense sections—such as community statistics, annual event listings and the member roll call—required careful planning to make large amounts of information approachable and easy to navigate. The completed guide balances practical community resources with engaging visual storytelling for residents, visitors and local businesses.
